A Bible-based workshop to develop better leaders and followers. The speaker for this year's Men's Overnight Bible Study is Matt Hennecke who will lead the group in 6 highly interactive sessions drawing from his years of experience as an elder, evangalist, as well as insights from his +40 years of experience developing leaders at major U.S. companies.

About the Speaker
Matt Hennecke is a member of the Douglass Hills church in Louisville, Kentucky. He’s published several Bible class workbooks and co-created MANNA Bible Maps. He owns LeadingWave Consulting, a management consulting firm (www.leadingwave.com). He attended Florida College and has his Master’s degree from the University of South Florida.
Workshop Objectives
- Distinguish between leading and managing.
- Explain the “crucial factor” essential to leader effectiveness.
- Define leadership in a practical, usable way.
- Identify 5 different types of followers and leadership styles.
- Show how leaders can positively or negatively impact followers.
- Improve skills in leading and following in the home and church.

How it works and what to expect
The men's overnight bible study is an annual weekend where men come together to study the Bible together and encourage one another. People arrive on Friday and stay overnight to continue the study through Saturday morning and afternoon. The time is focused on intensive bible study with speakers covering a range of topics focused on edification and encouragement of men seeking to serve God.
What to bring
- Yourself (please register ahead of time here )
- A Bible and any other materials you need for serious Bible study (pens, notebooks, etc)
- Chargers for any electronic devices you bring
- Snacks / drinks to share following the lectures on Friday night
- Everything you need to stay overnight (a sleeping bag, a pillow, etc.)

We are a group of Christian friends from the Midwest who have planned and organized an annual weekend study for men since 2004. The goal of the weekend is to educate, equip and encourage men to fill their unique roles in the kingdom of Christ. Our desire is to help men better understand and more successfully carry out their commission as fathers, husbands, brothers, sons, teachers, preachers, elders and deacons within the environments of home, church and the world, using the inspired Word of God as our guide.
